ROLE SUMMARY
The US Rare Endocrine and Neurology franchise is one the most rapidly growing businesses across Pfizer Biopharma, with 60% 3-year CAGR, and a stellar pipeline including two breakthrough asset launches (“25 by 2025”) in the next 2 years. The team is progressing launch readiness efforts for Pfizer’s very first gene therapy medicine in a “Create” market, currently in late-stage (Phase 3) development for treatment of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). Fordadistrogene movaparvovec is truly a breakthrough medicine with potential to transform treatment of DMD, a rare and fatal neurological condition affecting young boys, currently with no effective treatment options.
The HCP marketing senior manager will play a critical role in establishing the foundation of end-to-end HCP engagement, including leading core workstreams like Digital, Personalized Marketing, and Congresses and acting as the US lead for prioritized GLocal projects. This individual will also be a key contributor in brand pillars such as creative campaign and messaging. Lastly, this role will lead multiple cross-functional initiatives critical in transforming HCP experience building on the core principles of Bold Move 3.3 enterprise transformation and enabling launch readiness for Pfizer’s first gene therapy in novel ways.
This new position requires strategic thinking and prioritization, change-agility, thoughtful partnership across many functions, and the ability to lead through a diverse set of external stakeholders. This new role will also require someone who will thrive in the white space of a competitive new class of therapies. The successful candidate should demonstrate strong communication and analytical skills, exemplary leadership, detail-oriented execution, with a proven track record of fostering cross-functional collaboration and delivering exceptional results. This position reports to the Senior Director, US Rare Disease Endocrine & Neurology Marketing Team Lead.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead Digital strategy and tactical execution, including brand websites, website traffic drivers, and select online platforms. Enable optimized media investment through robust measurement plan and creative bench
Lead development of dynamic personalized marketing program for key HCP segments across personal and non-personal channels to facilitate positive, tailored HCP experiences and deeper brand familiarity among target HCPs
Lead Congress strategy development and execution, delivering on brand objectives in an ever-changing environment that may present hybrid or virtual-only engagement opportunities
Act as US HCP lead on core GLocal resource development, such as journal ads, convention panels, and launch playbook
Act as RC captain and ensure strong communication with Global review process, in spirit of GLocal partnership
Support core GLocal workstreams such as HCP message development and creative campaign
Partner closely with CAI, SAS, Medical and Global teams to uncover key strategic customer insights and translate into actionable strategies
Partner with the US DMD marketing team in development and execution of the Operating Plan
Track performance of marketing initiatives to assess early launch learnings and drive continuous improvement and investment efficiencies
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
BA/BS degree required, MBA or other advanced degree highly desirable
7+ years of healthcare industry experience including pharmaceutical marketing required
Previous product launch and in-line US Marketing experience preferred
Rare disease or specialty experience strongly preferred
Demonstrated success in developing, executing, and measuring complex marketing programs in white space that drive performance
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with varied internal stakeholders to identify key customer insights and translate into actionable strategies
Solid business acumen and organizational skills with excellent interpersonal communication skills for a wide variety of audiences, including senior management
Strong analytical skills; detail and action oriented; creative
Self-motivated and a team player
Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver results on multiple, complex, competing projects in a deadline-oriented environment
Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Occasional domestic travel anticipated for RC or team meetings, agency presentations, training, POAs, congresses and KOL meetings
