ROLE SUMMARY
Manage supply planning activities to ensure reliable product supply to markets in line with customer service and inventory targets. Leverage digital tools (SAP, Tableau, BOBJ etc) to enhance supply visibility to the markets and to simplify planning process through automation initiatives. Partner with site supply chain team and above site teams (AMP, BSL) and provide optimal supply solutions to demand supply changes. Responsible for system parameterization, supply assurance, rough cut capacity analysis, scenario analysis, supply prioritization and supporting special projects. The role requires strong cross-functional collaboration, proactive problem identification and resolution, issue escalation to site planning / AMP teams and effective communication and management of issues and recovery plans to key stakeholders.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
SAP APO / IBP system maintenance: Review the supply chain agreements with the markets on an annual basis to define the different planning parameters and accordingly maintain planning master data parameters in SAP APO / IBP. Periodically review the planning parameters for accuracy and optimize in line with desired planning output
Supply Planning: Manage and coordinate supply chain activities to ensure reliable product supply to markets consistent with Pfizer objectives, customer service levels and inventory management targets. Maintain/remediate system parameters to generate optimized supply plan in SAP APO
RCCP & Capacity Review: Prepare rough cut capacity projections for assigned resources; Collaborate with Site Planning Team to resolve asset capacity balancing trade-offs ensuring sufficient supply performance; Aggregate capacity constraints and ensure balanced Plan of Record for network review of capacity issues
Supply Management: Review high-level supply requirements across full planning horizon; Prioritize orders based on market inventory position, SKU segmentation, and site/above site production strategy. Review supply alerts (exceeding threshold); ID proposed changes; Share urgent issues with Site Planner
Supply Governance: Conduct weekly meeting with Site Planner to discuss priorities and to monitor / control schedule break-ins. On a monthly basis develop/update manufacturing site monthly and annual production volume plan of record. Review month to month volume changes with AMP team, BSL, etc. and escalate when potential issues arise.
Data Analytics: Leverage available BI reports and analytical tools to track supply performance vs metrics, analyze demand supply changes, perform scenario analysis and provide optimal solutions to mitigate supply risks
Data visualization: Leverage available digital tools (Tableau etc) to effectively summarize the supply performance and optimal supply solutions. Ensure alignment of data between SAP and BI reports and remediate data errors
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree
2+ years of experience that includes relevant experience in supply / production / demand planning
Strong knowledge and understanding of Supply Chain concepts and application.
Exposure to SAP APO
Strong analytical skills
Strong computer skills, including MS Office applications with advanced strengths in Excel and PowerPoint
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management/Business strongly preferred
Master’s Degree in supply / logistics / business
5+ years of experience that includes relevant experience in supply / production / demand planning
APICS CPIM or CSCP Certification
Significant SAP/ERP planning experience
Relevant experience within Pharmaceutical Industry and/or manufacturing and packaging activities
Exposure to advanced analytics like predictive modelling / algorithm planning
Exposure to Tableau / BI tools
