Process Centric Team Lead

The purpose of the Process Centric Team (PCT) is to define a cross-functional empowered team responsible for day to day running, effective issue resolution and continuous improvement of a specific T1 operating unit.

The Process Centric Team is responsible for QC team operations. The PCT consists of a PCT Leader, Shift Lead QC analysts, specialists, PCT champions.

The Process Centric Team Lead is a days-based role with responsibility for the performance of the Tier 1 Operating unit and the Process Centric team in the dimensions of Safety, Quality, Supply, Financials and People.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Sets overall priorities for PCT to ensure consistent planning, running and improvement of the Tier 1 operating unit, by providing leadership and ensuring adherence to IMEx operating standards of all Tier 1 shift teams.
  • Holds all members of PCT accountable for performance of the Tier 1 unit.
  • Ensures actions across Tier 1 units are completed on time and driven across all Shifts.
  • Leads PCT Daily with QC analysts, specialists and Shift Leads to ensure priorities, are set for each day and problem-solving activities are completed as needed.
  • First point of contact for all PCT escalations as per the escalation procedure.
  • Leads PCT Problem Solving Gemba sessions and escalations to Method 1.
  • Represents PCT at daily Tier 1 huddle and influences Tier 1 priorities.
  • Build and execution of the weekly QC lab schedule in conjunction with Shift Lead. Collate all inputs needed to build weekly QC schedule e.g. POR details, dispo dates, stability pulls, non-standard work etc.
  • Drive and support QTS record management for the team in conjunction with Shift Lead.
  • Representative at analytical and technical team forums across products including technical support for regulatory queries as required.
  • Act as technical SME to support audits.
  • Leads SIC (Short Interval Control) Tier 1 meeting to ensure standard work CI loop is active.
  • Drives continuous improvements and right first time with support functions as required.
  • Attends weekly CI Tier 2 and escalates from CI Tier 1 as required.
  • Coaches and builds IMEx capabilities in his/her work centres.
  • Leads regular Tier 1 Gemba sessions across all elements with PCT members.
  • Leads Gemba pulse check sessions to ensure all elements are adhering to IMEx core standards.
  • Provides feedback to above site IMEx program (i.e. Ecosystem COPs, Healthchecks, Standards.

Experience

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience of pharmaceutical QC operations.
  • Technical knowledge and experience of QC lab operations.
  • Strong organizational and planning activities.
  • Robust knowledge of IMEx elements.
  • Robust experience in utilising the Digital Operations Centre.
  • Strong Communication Skills.
  • An ability to work independently and as a member of a team in a complex, fast-paced and goal driven environment.
  • Knowledge in CI process.
  • Effective Coaching & Managing Change Skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting and decision-making capability.
  • Data Analytics.

Education

  • Degree level qualification desirable.
