What You Will Achieve
Your organizational skills will help us integrate our continuous improvement programs across the organization, both vertically and horizontally. Thanks to your knowledge and skills, it will be ensured that the improvement programs yield results, and strengthen the overall business strategies. You will work as a coach and a facilitator for improvement projects as well as maintain performance metrics to measure program success.
As a Operational Excellence Specialist, you will support the site and the Operational Excellence/Integrated Manufacturing Excellence (OpEx/IMEx) Team. Primary responsibilities include identification, prioritization, management and execution of Continuous Improvement (CI) opportunities to improve the overall operational effectiveness of various functional areas. This will include analyzing data to drive root cause analyses and to prioritize improvements. Support the creation of tiered goals in alignment with site priorities. This role is a key enabler to the successful deployment and sustainability of IMEx at the McPherson site.

How You Will Achieve It
Lead OpEx initiatives (i.e. 5S, M1 investigations, Green Belt Certification, etc.), develop OpEx skills of colleagues, and drive a culture of continuous improvement with the site's various teams.
Develop M1 Coach ability and partner with various functional areas to lead continuous improvements within their areas.
Identify areas for improvement and largest sources of loss, including collaboration with the CI Specialists and functional area team members across the site. This will include utilizing data to influence project identification and prioritization.
Contribute to the completion of complex projects with existing CI Specialists.
Manage time to meet agreed site targets and development plans.
Inspire a culture of continuous improvement by partnering effectively with personnel.
Lead, support and coach data analysis by using and fostering the adequate OpEx tool.
Incorporate (Current) Good Manufacturing Practices (part of GxP) and regulatory compliance into all assigned projects scope, design and construction work.
Identify, analyze, prioritize and execute business solutions.
Support/Perform root cause analysis for elimination of repeat performance issues/occurrences.
Support Quality and Safety investigations through coaching on Six Sigma and preform safety inspections.
Qualifications:
Must-Have
Bachelor's Degree
2+ years of experience and working knowledge of Process Monitoring systems.
Understanding of how to work effectively with site colleagues through the change process required to be successful in this position
Acts as a Change Management Agent, fostering Continuous Improvement Culture
Ability to organize data and plan for the future is key
Strong verbal and written English communications capabilities
Functional knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and Office applications, particularly Excel
Nice-to-Have
Master's degree
Relevant pharmaceutical experience in sterile injectables
Demonstrated ability to effectively coach and mentor colleagues and manage diverse relationships
Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt and/or exposure
Data analytical experience and associated software (i.e. Minitab, JMP, etc.)
Knowledge of cGMPs and manufacturing procedures and standards
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Interface and communicate effectively with multiple stakeholder groups
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
This is a 1st shift position from Monday-Friday, administrative shift, with support to 2nd and 3rd shift production. Job may require occasional weekend/evening work supporting 24-hour/7 day operation.
Minimal travel requirements.
