Pfizer Israel is hiring a talented Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL) for the Rare Disease (RD) Therapeutical Area (TA) responsible for delivering high level medical and scientific expertise to external and internal stakeholders for the assigned products.
Main Responsibilities
Key opinion leaders (KOL) management
- Map and identify KOLs in his/her Therapeutic Area (TA)
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with external KOLs by regular face to face meetings
- Stay current in the scientific literature and update KOLs as needed
- Work with Rare Disease Medical Advisor to organize/prepare medical education events for the scientific community according to Medical I&I strategy
- Participate and interact with Health Care Professionals (HCP) in local, regional and national scientific meetings
- Deliver scientific presentations to KOLs/HCPs
- Provide publications support
Field Force training
- In coordination with RD Medical Advisor, provide regular trainings in the related TA
- Identify additional training needs and enhance knowledge of sales representatives with up-to-date information
- Ensure that internal training programs contain messages which are medically and ethically accurate, appropriate and relevant for the Israeli market application
Medical support to marketing activities in compliance with regulations and aligned to the RD BU strategy.
- Coordinate with RD Medical Advisor execution of programs involving medical issues
- Provide input to medical and marketing annual plan
- With RD Medical Lead, determine in which congresses, symposia, etc. to participate
Collaboration with Israel Medical Department team on relevant projects, initiatives, and through proactive sharing of information
Organizational Relationships
- Medical Scientific Liason reports to MSL team leader
Education and Experience
- Life science education background, with PhD degree in biology or related field, or other advanced degree (eg, pharmacy, veterinary medicine)
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry – an advantage
- Fluent in Hebrew and English (written and spoken)
- Dynamic personality with drive and enthusiasm
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong organizational skills, solution-oriented and proactive
- Reliable, high ethical standards
- Team Worker
- Excellent PC Skills
