You will be part of Pfizer’s dynamic Market Access team and report to the Health & Value Director for Belgium and Luxembourg. You will manage the important role of creating and executing comprehensive Market Access strategies through the integration of local pricing and reimbursement rules,  clinical and health technology assessments,  feedback local KOL advisory boards, as well as results from budget impact and health economic modelling.

You will work with your colleagues in the cross functional access teams to define optimal pricing and access strategies and prepare robust high quality HTA and P&R applications supporting our claims and requests. You will be communicating with external stakeholders and discussing the value proposition of the therapeutic area drugs.  Based on the most important clinical and budgetary uncertainties you will define need to collect local real world data/evidence to  prepare initial innovative managed entry agreements (MEA) as well as to justify prolongation/renewal of the initial MEA.

Your advanced knowledge of our access roadmap principles and best practises and comprehensive knowledge of  BU and medical practises will enable you to lead complex P&R and access projects across different therapeutic areas /BUs. Your ability to develop and manage P&R plans will facilitate in achieving objectives, interpreting internal and external business challenges and recommending best practices to ensure optimal patient access. While managing complex P&R and budget environments, you will be able to anticipate and troubleshoot roadblocks and drive  access teams to achieve targets for the products concerned.

Through your expertise and hard work you will ensure your cross functional access team and our Health & Value team will achieve ambitious milestones and optimal access for patients in Belgium and Luxembourg.

After initial P&R approval and launch you will coordinate all necessary activities to continue to defend, maintain and/or enhance the initial P&R conditions. 

Reponsibilities:

  • Develop ideas, lead/co-lead complex projects across business units, develop and manage plans to achieve objectives.
  • Develop and maintain payer value proposition.
  • Translate customer insights into knowledge and expertise that will optimize product reimbursement plans.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to develop market access priorities/strategies and ensure its successful execution.
  • Deliver recommendations relating to price and access strategies, payer strategy, pricing and reimbursement, evidence generation, data collection and value proposition, taking into consideration market archetype and lifecycle considerations.
  • Develop effective processes and ways of working to support collaboration with key internal stakeholder groups such as health economics and outcomes, medical  and BU colleagues and leads.
  • Assist colleagues on any access related issues by providing advice or connecting with experts as appropriate.
  • Work efficiently and collaboratively in a highly matrixed environment with cross functional teams.
  • This is an individual contributor role.  
  • Location : Brussels. For this position we do not offer relocation.

Your skills

  • Education: Master’s degree or PhD in life sciences and/or health economics
  • Experience: 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical industry (especially in local cross functional access and or launch excellence teams)
  • Demonstrated project leadership, managing workstreams and small teams of cross-functional colleagues with varying backgrounds and skillsets
  • Demonstrated ability to influence key stakeholders without direct authority
  • Demonstrated strong strategic thinking skills and ability to develop recommendations for decision-making or action
  • Ability to partner and work as a team in a highly matrix environment
  • Languages: Strong command of Dutch, French and English, spoken and written
