ROLE SUMMARY
Key accountabilities include picking materials, packing materials into insulated containers using dry ice, applying monitors and labeling to support shipment of the material for distribution in a manner meeting safety and quality requirements.
The Logistics Vaccine Specialist will perform the following:
- Picking vaccine for outbound delivery orders and plant to plant transfers
- Labeling materials as required
- Preparing vaccine for shipment
- Operation of dry ice delivery equipment
- Operation of conveyor systems
- Operation of lift assist equipment
- Operation of banding equipment
- Access to SAP - Perform necessary transactions to record time out of frozen conditions in the ERP system using RF device
- Conduct transfer cart changes
- Returning materials into freezer storage locations
- Responsible for accuracy of batch record related documentation
- Maintain all Dangerous Goods DOT certifications and training required.
- Work in a safe manner and report all potential safety issues to leadership in a timely manner.
- Performs Area Audits – Safety – GMP – IMEx/5S
- Perform all tasks in strict compliance with operating procedures, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Willing to assist other production units in order to meet unit and site goals.
- Maintain training at or above 96%.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma / general education degree (GED) plus
- Six months of relevant work experience in a manufacturing or GMP facility (e.g. current or previous Pfizer colleague or contractor or similar)
Preferred Qualifications:
- An associate degree
- Veteran/Military experience
- Mechanical experience / knowledge preferred.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
- Job will include considerable standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 42 pounds.
- This position requires the manual packaging of products.
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
- No travel expected
- Weekend, holiday, and overtime may be required to meet business or customer needs.
