ROLE SUMMARY
Pfizer’s Global Supply (PGS) University Talent Program offers summer internships that cross over all facets of the business. The Global Supply Chain organization team is responsible for managing the supply and demand of a robust portfolio and it is supported by various departments and teams including operations, engineering, quality and logistics. Our summer interns will work in conjunction with these areas on challenging assignments and projects that will stimulate creative problem-solving and collaborative leadership, while contributing to the overall goal of bringing quality life-saving medicines to patients around the world. Individuals selected for these roles will join our teams in the following locations: Peapack, NJ, Collegeville, PA, Lake Forest, IL. Memphis, TN, Andover, MS and New York, NY.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
A summer intern can expect to join a team that fits well with their field of study and interests within supply chain and business analytics. Summer interns can expect challenging assignments with the opportunity to apply knowledge and gain work experience within a professional environment. In addition to their assigned project, interns can expect opportunities to participate in group social and developmental learning activities throughout the summer. Core responsibilities are as follows:
Perform challenging, demanding and diverse assignments respective to the role and projects within their assigned area.
Creating, running and analyzing Tableau reports
Managing data & maintaining Tableau Customer Service, Supply, Inventory, and Financial Dashboards
Assist in data analytics and process improvement initiatives
Monitoring demand and supply trends and fluctuations and provide alerts to the team
Aiding in the collection and consolidation of various budget numbers and latest estimates
General production planning and inventory control ad hoc request
Assist in streamlining and understanding the end to end supply chain for select products
Assist with Supply Chain Innovation projects
Perform other related duties as assigned or require
How You Will Achieve It
Manage own time and professional development, be accountable for own results and prioritize workflows.
Support Business Operations team members in organizing and administering meetings, travel and expense reporting, where needed.
Identify and support process improvement activities.
Must-Have
Completed at least Sophomore year in a College or University studying applicable coursework ( Supply Chain, Business, Chemistry, Engineering, Mathematics). Undergraduate students going into their senior year of study preferred.
Strong academic performance (a minimum 3.0 GPA or higher preferred)
Self-motivated, with the ability to be agile and adaptable in a fast pace environment.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and proven track record of teamwork, innovation and initiative
Strong organizational skills
Capacity to quickly identify problems and create solutions
Highly effective in communicating in written, verbal, and presentation form
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Passion for learning and pursuing a career in the health care industry
