ROLE SUMMARY
Pfizer CentreOne is a global contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) embedded within Pfizer on track to deliver $1B+ in revenue in 2021. We leverage strategic Pfizer manufacturing plants as well as science, services, and technology resources to manufacture medicine for biopharmaceutical companies. We focus on small molecule API synthesis, sterile injectable fill-finish, and oral solids; and are a leading supplier of steroid and hormone APIs and intermediates. For almost 50 years, we’ve manufactured complex compounds for our biopharmaceutical partners. Our dedicated team of contract manufacturing experts guide our partners’ drugs safely from development to commercial manufacture. Pfizer CentreOne reports into the CBIO.
Reporting to the PC1 General Manager, the PC1 Global Marketing and Communications Lead will be responsible for setting and implementing the marketing strategy for the PC1 Global business.
The PC1 Global Marketing Lead is responsible for integrating Pfizer CentreOne’s goals, strengths, channels of distribution, competitive environment, target markets, core messages, products and services into the go to market strategy. As part of the strategy, you will highlight PC1’s value proposition and brand messaging.
As the PC1 Global Marketing Lead, you will:
Be responsible for developing, leading, and executing the global marketing strategy for PC1.
Manage and have full responsibility for the marketing expense budget of $4M+ and the success of brand awareness in the marketplace.
Operating as a member of the PC1 Leadership Team
Champion cross functional alignment across different platforms including CBIO, PGS, Finance, Legal, Digital, HR, and Corporate/PGS Communications to shape the environment and drive the value proposition for PC1.
Develop the list of tactical activities for your team of 5 direct 5 reports to execute. This includes communicating key messages and service offerings to grow the business and nurture existing business with customers and prospects through trade shows/conferences, digital/print advertising, collateral, and search engine optimization, and training.
Lead Marketing Operating Plan Review and drive team engagement for the Pfizer CentreOne organization (e.g. POA Meeting) while acting as a “thought partner” to the PC1 General Manager.
Lead marketing key activities for the PC1 business which include identifying and implementing marketing process improvements.
This role is in a fast-paced environment and is responsible for partnering with members of the PC1 LT to ensure the marketing and brand remain on message, when communicating internally and externally.
The ideal candidate for this role will be an individual that has high energy and drive, is comfortable with ambiguity and working at a fast pace, works well across the organization matrix, communicates well with senior leaders, has demonstrated ability in driving team engagement and has a proven track record of successfully working with large teams to get things done.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and execute the global marketing strategy for the PC1 business
Lead the execution of the PC1 marketing strategy and tactical activities to help drive sales and IBT for the organization while keeping a close eye on how other household names in the CDMO world (e.g., Lonza, Patheon and Catalent) are positioning themselves
Develop an annual marketing plan with Lead Acquisition and Customer Relationship Marketing colleagues on tactical activities to communicate key messages through our website (pfizercentreone.com), trade shows/conferences, digital/print advertising, collateral, content marketing, marketing e-mail campaigns, PC1 sponsored events and search engine optimization
Interact and work closely with the PC1 GM, Sales Leads and other members of the PC1 LT to deliver on key marketing activities and the annual operating plan
Drive team engagement and effectiveness in planning and execution process (including oversight of PC1 team meetings of 100+ colleagues). Ensure topics encourage engagement, alignment and focus on objectives. Incorporate team building and team capabilities training. Drive meeting outcomes ensuring they are action orientated; focus on delivery of prioritized outcomes
Manage team communication effectiveness via team meetings, intranet sites and regular communications.
Develop training strategy for PC1 colleagues with an emphasis on customer facing colleague training in new capabilities and site access
Develop and roll out communications campaigns to educate wider Pfizer audiences and key stakeholders at all levels of the organization; develop customized decks for relevant audiences and keep up presence on PfizerWorld
Engage withkey stakeholders including enabling and platform functions (PGS, Finance, Legal, Digital, HR, Corporate Affairs, etc.) ensuring efforts are aligned to optimize business performance
Own global marketing budget and ensure quarterly updates with Finance are reconciled in a timely manner
Own relationship with agency of record and understand relationships with key third party partners (e.g., Life Science Connect, Industry Standard Research)

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, Masters or advanced degree preferred.
20+ years of experience in pharmaceutical/marketing leadership experience
Broad knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare environment
Demonstrated track record of high performance, driving team engagement and producing outstanding results
A passion for organizational efficiency, high level of integrity and a respect for our business
Well organized and very detail oriented; ability to juggle multiple assignments and meet the needs of multiple stakeholders
Ability to anticipate, oversee or influence an environment where continuous improvement and innovation are embedded in day-to-day operations
Strong communication and influencing skills to gain credibility with a range of stakeholders
Proven analytical strengths to drive decision making
Discretion and the ability to deal with confidential information
