ROLE SUMMARY

An Associate Project Manager role is available within the Project and Portfolio Management Group in the Pfizer Biotherapeutics Pharmaceutical Sciences Department. The position will report to Director of Portfolio and Project Management in Andover.

The successful applicant will join a cross site group to provide project management support to the Biotherapeutics Pharmaceutical Sciences organization for both early and late-stage product development teams inclusive of CMC regulatory submission support.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Early phase support will include the development and management of project plans in Planisware and will include forecasting both short and long term project resource projections (FTE’s and Financials).
  • Late-Stage support is focused primarily on developing and managing project execution plans through the use of Microsoft Project supporting both project teams and sub-teams, along with coordinating questions/queries from regulatory agencies and associated responses.
  • In both cases, the project manager will be responsible for assisting in the coordination and publishing of agendas, general meeting support, actively managing the teams’ Integrated Project Plans (IPP) across multifunctional teams. This will also include scientific disciplines, identifying and communicating schedule and resource risks and opportunities, conducting various asset team project scenario analyses, recognizing project successes and achievements.
  • The Project Manager would be expected to support multiple projects within established technologies and modality platforms.
  • The successful candidate will also have some understanding and knowledge of fundamental project management principles and concepts, be highly organized, have strong interpersonal skills and is willing to be an active member of the team while working in a highly balanced matrix environment.
  • This Project Manager will also support portfolio reporting within the BTx organization, and assist with systems troubleshooting, milestone tracking, and data analytics/triage. 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS/BA in Biological or Engineering Sciences.
  • Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Capable of working with in a high matrixed, fast paced environment.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with attention to detail.
  • 1 year of previous experience working with software supporting business operations (MS Project, MS Office).
  • Intermediate or advanced knowledge of MS Office required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Capable of managing cross functional cross site global teams.
  • Previous experience in biological engineering sciences.
